Hostal Macarena - Madrid

The hotel was a nice base for enjoying a busy area, just next door to the Plaza Mayor and countless shops and restaurants and city center and Oldest Restaurant In the World which is still a fine place to eat. The staff were constantly excellent and hospitable.

the rooms with the tv were fashionable and new-fashioned.

We were in the queen room, it was new-fashioned.

The venue is impeccably clean, with wonderful location very close to the smaller square and restaurants below, the major square, very popular, especially on the weekends and the three main museums as well as the Plaza de Paja.

The accommodation was like home, with a vintage vibe and clean amenities. The location is prime for exploring the vibrant nightlife, and the staff was helpful. Perfect for those wanting to immerse themselves in the local culture while enjoying a cozy retreat!

The location near vibrant nightlife was perfect. Although the room felt compact, it wassuper clean and cozy. I appreciated the friendly staff who helped with my luggage after checkout. A pleasant experience!

I had an frustrating experience due to the lack of insulation in the rooms. It was like the walls were paper-thin. I could hear every little noise from neighboring rooms. The staff's English was quite limited.

We loved the vibrant balcony view where we could soak in the lively atmosphere below. The staff was super friendly, always ready to help. The location couldn't be better for exploring the city with my son.

For dads, it would be great if the bathroom had a bit more space.

The staff was friendly and always ready to help. My room had cozy decor, a comfortable bed, and was spotlessly clean. Plus, the location is unbeatable-just a short walk from Plaza Mayor and surrounded by great local restaurants.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was excellent and helpful. I found the location perfect, with restaurants nearby for dining. I did experience some noise from outdoor seating, but with earplugs, it was manageable. It seemed like home every time I returned. I appreciated having a different room each visit.

I had an enjoyable time at this place! The tiny but cozy room felt perfectly sufficient, and I loved how quickly they had it ready for me after I arrived early. Plus, the strong WiFi signal made waiting for my room much easier! I’d definitely choose to stay here again next time in the area.
